New footage has emerged showing Hamas operatives actively blocking civilians from evacuating Gaza City southward. The actions appear to be part of a broader campaign to impede the movement of non-combatants, using a combination of threats, physical checkpoints, and the dissemination of false notices, claiming that there is a humanitarian zone in Gaza City.

While it's true that there are a few gung-ho Gazans / pro-Hamas palestinians who are choosing to stay, the reality on the ground is that most of them actually respects their lives enough to listen to the IDF.

According to the reports, Hamas has been setting up barriers at key evacuation routes to prevent residents from reaching safer areas in the southern part of the enclave. Civilians attempting to move are reportedly being turned back by force. This campaign is said to be aimed at keeping civilians in place, allowing Hamas to use the population as human shields and to prioritize its own members and resources.

Israeli authorities have advised that for their safety, civilians in the area should continue to move south to avoid the ongoing war as Israel ramps up Operation Gideon's Chariots Phase II.
