In the wake of the shocking assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, Fox News contributors and allies are mourning the 31-year-old activist as a pivotal figure in the conservative movement.

Kirk, gunned down during a campus event in Orem, Utah, on Wednesday, was more than a political operative; he was a bridge-builder for young conservatives and a fierce defender of the U.S.-Israel alliance. "Charlie Kirk was our Abraham," said Rabbi Chaim Mentz in an exclusive interview on Fox & Friends Thursday morning.

Mentz added, "Just like Abraham, Charlie bought people to his tent. Charlie never got angry. Abraham never got angry. Look what Abraham built. Look at these 3,000 people. You just killed their main guy. Do you see rioting in the streets? Do you see anybody going across America saying, "We're gonna go "No Justice, No Peace" ... You know what they're all doing? They're all talking about "How can we make America Better? How can we become better?" And that is the threat to the other side."

Kirk's pro-Israel advocacy was legendary among his peers. As founder of Turning Point USA, he organized campus events countering anti-Israel narratives, launched Turning Point Faith to engage evangelicals on biblical support for the Jewish state, and used his massive platform, including *The Charlie Kirk Show*, which boasted millions of downloads, to debunk misinformation about the Gaza conflict and champion the Abraham Accords.

In a 2024 episode, Kirk argued that supporting Israel was "America First," framing it as essential to countering radical Islamism and promoting Middle East peace. His efforts earned praise from Israeli leaders, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu once calling him a "true friend of the Jewish people" during a 2023 visit.

The tribute comes amid an outpouring of grief following Kirk's death, which President Donald Trump described as the loss of a "martyr for truth and freedom" in an Oval Office address. JD Vance, Trump's vice presidential pick, penned a heartfelt note: "You ran a good race, my friend." On Fox News, host Sean Hannity echoed the sentiment, saying Kirk "revitalized the right like no one since Reagan," while Laura Ingraham highlighted his role in mobilizing youth voters during the 2024 election.

Even as investigations into the sniper-style shooting continue, Kirk's legacy as a defender of Western civilization, faith, and freedom endures.
