The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced this Monday the results of recent operations in the Gaza Strip, aimed at neutralizing terrorist threats and preventing attacks on military personnel.

According to the IDF Spokesperson’s Office, in a coordinated effort by Division 99 forces and the Shin Bet, dozens of operatives planning attacks on northern and central Gaza Strip sectors were eliminated over the past month.

Among those targeted was Ahmed Abu Deif, deputy company commander of Hamas’ Zeitoun Battalion since 2024. Abu Deif reportedly orchestrated numerous ambushes against IDF forces and recruited additional operatives for the terrorist organization.

In another key operation, Taleb Sadiq Taleb Abu Atiwi, commander of the Nuhba unit involved in cross-border attacks on October 7, was neutralized.

The IDF also reported that Israeli Air Force aircraft, under the direction of the 990th Fire Brigade and in coordination with ground forces, destroyed military infrastructure in Shajaiyah and Zeitoun. These facilities were identified as planning hubs for Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad operations against Israeli forces.

“The IDF continues to act decisively in the Gaza Strip to protect the citizens of the State of Israel,” the spokesperson said, emphasizing ongoing operations to prevent future attacks.
