Lt. Ori Gerlic killed in battle in southern Gaza
Lt. Ori Gerlic, a 20-year-old platoon commander from Meitar, was killed in combat in southern Gaza as IDF forces continue operations against Hamas.

The IDF announced that Lt. Ori Gerlic, 20, from Meitar, was killed earlier today during combat in southern Gaza.
Gerlic served as a platoon commander in the Samson Battalion (92) of the Kfir Brigade.
His family has been notified.
Doron Kadosh reports new details from the IDF’s initial investigation into the tragic incident:
During an operation by the Kfir Brigade in southern Khan Younis, troops were demolishing buildings using explosives. While connecting or activating one of the charges, an explosion occurred for reasons still under investigation.
The blast struck Lt. Gerlic, the platoon commander, inflicting critical injuries. Despite rapid evacuation for treatment, medical teams were forced to pronounce him dead en route.
