For the first time, the IDF has officially acknowledged that Iranian military personnel fired surface-to-air missiles at Israeli fighter jets flying over Iran.

An Israeli Air Force unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) identified and destroyed an Iranian launch squad after the unit fired anti-aircraft missiles at it, according to military correspondent Doron Kadosh.

Footage from Iran shows the UAV detecting the squad operating a missile launcher, swiftly attacking the site, and eliminating the team responsible for the hostile fire.

The strike, part of Israel’s ongoing campaign against Iran’s military infrastructure, demonstrates the precision and responsiveness of Israeli aerial operations. The incident occurred amid heightened tensions, with Israel targeting nuclear and military sites across Iran, including recent strikes in Tabriz, while facing retaliatory missile and drone attacks from Tehran.
