REVEALED: Senior Qatari Journalists Encourage Kidnapping Israeli Soldiers
A new MEMRI report has uncovered alarming posts by senior Qatari journalists , some with ties to the royal family, openly calling on Hamas to abduct IDF soldiers.

A recent report by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) has exposed disturbing statements from senior Qatari journalists with close ties to the country’s ruling family, openly encouraging Hamas to kidnap Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers. These revelations, published on Tuesday, cast a shadow over Qatar’s public role as a mediator in hostage negotiations, revealing what critics describe as its de facto alignment with Hamas’s military wing.
According to MEMRI, the editor of Al-Sharq, a prominent Qatari newspaper widely regarded as a mouthpiece for the royal family, posted on X: “Even if the heroes of the Al-Qassam Brigades failed this time in their attempt to kidnap Zionist soldiers, the next attempt will succeed in adding more rats to the tally of captives.” He further wrote, “In the raid, the heroes of Al-Qassam managed to send several Zionist soldiers to hell, and blessed be their riddance.”
A former senior executive at Qatar’s Al-Jazeera network echoed similar sentiments, stating: “The operation in Khan Younis will be studied in military academies, in departments of philosophy, psychology, and history. These are Allah’s soldiers, emerging from tunnels after two years to capture enemy soldiers.”
While Qatar portrays itself as a neutral mediator in hostage deal negotiations, these statements reveal a starkly different reality, suggesting the country functions as an effective military arm of Hamas.
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize that they aren't on Israel's side and never have been, but this makes their true feelings even clearer. Despicably, they pretend to be Israel's great friend and ally, especially in terms of the hostage negotiations. The world is only too happy to accept their lies.
