Thousands are gathering in the city of Bnei Brak today (Wednesday) for the funeral procession of the revered kabbalist and spiritual leader, Rabbi Alter David Chaim Stern, who passed away this morning at the age of 93.

The city, known as the “City of Torah and Hasidism,” is mourning the loss of one of its most prominent sages. The massive funeral procession is being broadcast live for those unable to attend.

The Bnei Brak municipal police unit, together with the city’s parking enforcement division, are overseeing security throughout the procession.
