In light of increased terrorist activity and the use of buried explosives in Judea and Samaria, resulting in several Israeli casualties, the IDF Central Command last week discussed a range of military actions, according to Ynet.

These actions include targeting terrorists involved in planting explosives, banning fertilizer entry to prevent bomb-making, considering the use of armoured personnel carriers (APCs) in the area for the first time since the Second Intifada, and issuing warnings to Palestinians if the issue persists.

The discussions were part of a special situation assessment conducted by IDF Central Command chief MG Yehuda Fox. A major decision was to enhance intelligence surveillance to detect terrorists planting explosive devices in refugee camps in Judea and Samaria, where the IDF regularly operates.
