This will mean very few airlines will be flying to the Far East.

In a significant development for travelers to and from Israel, Cathay Pacific has made the strategic decision to cancel all flights between Hong Kong and Tel Aviv until March 27, 2025.

Serving as the sole direct link between these two major hubs, Cathay Pacific's move underscores the challenges faced following the disruption caused by Operation Swords of Iron.

This operational pause is notable given that Ben-Gurion International Airport has seen a recovery with over 50 airlines currently operating, yet notable carriers like Cathay Pacific, Korean Air, and Gulf Air have not resumed their services.

This absence not only limits options for travelers but also raises concerns about potential changes in flight pricing and competition, particularly on routes to the East where these airlines once played a significant role.
