The IDF has swiftly countered Hamas's latest propaganda attempt. The terrorist organization released an image of a purportedly recently killed hostage, but the IDF revealed that the individual in question had been murdered months ago and his body was recovered in a joint IDF-Shin Bet operation last November.

This revelation comes just days after Hamas claimed that militants had killed one hostage and injured two others in separate incidents. The IDF had initially stated they lacked intelligence to confirm or deny these claims.

Abu Obeida, spokesman for Hamas's military wing attempted to distance Hamas from the murder, stating it "does not represent the organization's treatment of hostages."

As the situation continues to unfold, the international community remains focused on efforts to secure the release of remaining hostages and bring an end to the conflict.
