Woman Arrested After Threatening To Kill President Trump
Prosecutors say suspect openly admitted her intent on Facebook and to Secret Service; faces charges of threatening the president and ransom demands.

A woman who repeatedly threatened to kill President Donald Trump has been arrested and charged, federal prosecutors announced on August 18.
According to an affidavit obtained by The Epoch Times, the suspect, identified only as Jones, posted on Facebook on August 6: “I literally told FBI in five states today that I am willing to sacrificially kill this POTUS.”
In further posts, she urged Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth to stage Trump’s “arrest and removal ceremony as a terrorist.” During an interview with Secret Service agents on August 15, Jones admitted she would kill Trump if given the chance, claiming she sought to “avenge” lives lost during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Officials said she again admitted responsibility when confronted during an August 16 protest outside the White House. She was taken into custody without incident.
U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro vowed swift prosecution: “Threatening the life of the President is one of the most serious crimes. Make no mistake, justice will be served.”
Secret Service and FBI officials stressed the seriousness of the threat, with FBI special agent Matt McCool stating that agents acted “swiftly and decisively to neutralize this alleged threat before it could escalate.”
The White House issued a statement thanking law enforcement for their efforts to protect the president. Jones currently has no attorney listed on the court docket.
