The Chief of Staff, Major General Eyal Zamir, conducted a situation assessment and field tour in Tulkarm today (Friday) together with Central Command Commander Major General Avi Blot, Head of Operations Directorate Major General Itzik Cohen, Judea and Samaria Division Commander Brigadier General Yaki Dolph, and additional commanders.
The Chief of Staff spoke with fighters and commanders of the Paratroopers Brigade in the sector, expressed appreciation for their work and emphasized that their contribution is vital to maintaining the security of residents. Additionally, the Chief of Staff noted his great appreciation for the division commander who is soon to complete his role, saying that his tenure significantly impacted the operational situation.
From the words of Chief of Staff Major General Eyal Zamir: "We operate in all sectors with responsibility and constant vigilance - we don't have the right to let up. There's no sector where you haven't operated in the past two years. The mission in Judea and Samaria is clear - to thwart terror and defend the settlements. As in all sectors, we don't wait, we thwart threats before they grow. Terror strikes precisely where you're not prepared, so we adapt the precise operational response for each sector. The campaign continues, we are expanding operations in Gaza. We are committed to acting responsibly - alert, prepared and sharp at the operational edge.
The operations in refugee camps are thorough and significant - you are uprooting the roots of terror and ensuring they cannot grow again. Today there is no place in Judea and Samaria that cannot be reached; to be everywhere, at the right time to prevent attacks and continue to enable operational freedom of action.
We are focusing on locating the terrorists in the Benjamin sector following yesterday's attack. We will continue to operate in the area with the goal of thwarting terror in every form, and deploying all operational and intelligence means until the terrorists are captured."
