Ex-IDF Soldier Lynched in broad daylight - Greek Authorities describe the incident as "Confrontation"
Greek police arrest all involved after confrontation near Tomb of the Unknown Soldier

As reported, a 29-year-old Israeli tourist was injured Saturday after being assaulted by three young Palestinians in the heart of Athens.
The attack took place in front of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Syntagma Square, one of the Greek capital’s most prominent landmarks.
Now it has been exposed that the Greek police said all five individuals involved, the two Israelis and three Palestinians aged 25 to 27, were taken into custody.
Authorities described the episode as “a confrontation.” Even though six plastic sticks, two of them attached to Palestinian flags, were used in the attack and confiscated from the arab suspects, who seem to have grouped and relentlessly hit the Israeli according to a Ynet report.
The attack comes amid a series of incidents targeting Israeli tourists in Athens and across Europe. Less than two months ago, a group of Syrian migrants assaulted an Israeli man on a local beach, leaving him with a serious ear injury. A month earlier, another Israeli traveler was attacked by pro-Palestinian activists in the city; he was initially detained by police until video evidence confirmed his account.
Broader Context
Athens has witnessed multiple pro-Palestinian demonstrations since the outbreak of the Gaza war, with tensions spilling into violence against foreign visitors. Israeli officials have expressed growing concern over the safety of their citizens abroad, while Greek police continue to investigate the latest attack.
