Israel Warns: “Gates of Hell Will Open”
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz issued a sharp statement in response to the delays:
“The Sinwar brothers have destroyed Gaza. Az al-Din Haddad is turning it into rubble. Hamas leaders abroad celebrate in palaces and luxury hotels while refusing to release the hostages. If they are not freed soon, the gates of hell will open.”
The failed Hamas response is seen by Israeli officials as another sign the group is not serious about a negotiated ceasefire or the release of Israeli hostages still held in Gaza.
