Turkish News Outlet Promotes Hezbollah’s “Target List” of Sensitive Israeli Sites
An unprecedented act of psychological warfare is unfolding as a Turkish news outlet linked to President Erdogan openly promotes a Hezbollah video identifying and animating strikes on critical Israeli infrastructure.

A Turkish news outlet, GZT, linked to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has drawn attention for promoting a Hezbollah video that identifies key Israeli sites as potential targets in a provocative display framed as intelligence-gathering.
The video, part of Hezbollah’s “Hoopoe” drone operation, highlights civilian and military infrastructure, including Haifa’s critical facilities, Ashdod Port, the Hadera power station, Ramat David airbase near Afula, Ben Gurion Airport, Nevatim airbase, coastal oil refineries, a “satellite area in Judea,” and the Negev Nuclear Research Center at Dimona.
According to a report by Israel Hayom, GZT’s coverage included animations of explosions targeting these sites, which it described as “soft targets” despite their fortified nature.
The Hezbollah video, first publicized in June 2024, claims to show drone footage that evaded Israeli air defenses, capturing close-up images of sensitive locations before returning to Lebanon. Hezbollah’s military media presented the footage as evidence of its advanced reconnaissance capabilities, raising alarms among Israeli security officials.
The video’s release was seen as a psychological operation to project Hezbollah’s reach amid escalating tensions with Israel, particularly following threats of war and Hezbollah’s operations in solidarity with Gaza.
Al Mayadeen, who shared the video, noted that the footage explicitly labeled civilian and military targets, with Hezbollah hinting at additional videos to come.
GZT’s decision to spotlight this video aligns with a broader narrative seen in pro-Hezbollah media, amplifying the group’s intimidation tactics. The outlet’s coverage, which Israel Hayom suggests may reflect Turkey’s complex regional stance, has raised concerns about escalating rhetoric against Israel.
