Al-Sisi to Trump: “Only You Can Stop the War in Gaza”
Egyptian President calls on U.S. leader to leverage his influence to halt fighting and increase humanitarian aid

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi issued a direct appeal to U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday, urging him to intervene and bring an end to the war in Gaza.
“Because of my personal respect for him, I know he has the power and the standing to stop the war, to bring in humanitarian aid, and to end this suffering,” al-Sisi declared in his address.
The Egyptian leader emphasized his country’s ongoing efforts to assist Gaza:
“We have always been constructive and called for an end to the war, for a two-state solution, and for resolving the Palestinian issue. Gaza needs 600 to 700 aid trucks every day under normal conditions. In recent months, we have worked to send the largest possible amount of aid to the Strip.”
On Rafah and Humanitarian Routes
Al-Sisi clarified that the Rafah crossing “is primarily designated for people, and its operation depends not only on Egypt but also on the authorities within Gaza.” He noted that more than five crossings connect to the Strip, with Egypt’s main routes being Rafah and Kerem Shalom.
“There is nothing preventing aid trucks from entering Gaza,” he said, stressing that the Palestinian side of the Rafah crossing must remain open. “Our efforts in recent months have focused on delivering aid to a population facing tragic conditions.”
Egypt’s Role
“Egypt cannot take a negative stance toward our Palestinian brothers,” al-Sisi concluded. “Our role is honorable and unwavering. I call on all nations of the world to make every effort to stop the war and bring humanitarian relief.”
