More than two decades after her unforgettable run on the second season of Kochav Nolad(A Star is Born), Adi Cohen is making a long-awaited return to the music scene. The singer, who finished third behind Harel Moyal and Harel Skaat in the 2004 finale, is releasing a new single, her first original music in 17 years.

The upcoming track, titled “God Protect You”, is set to drop in the coming weeks, with several more singles planned for release afterward. Sources close to Cohen say that music has always been her outlet for expression, and she waited patiently for the right song, one that felt meaningful and authentic to her artistic voice.

Cohen initially rose to fame in 2004 with her Kochav Nolad performance, which cemented her status as one of Israel’s most promising young talents. She launched her music career soon after, releasing her only album to date, “Darosh Li Gever”, in 2008. In the years since, Cohen focused on acting and stage performances, participating in numerous musicals and plays. Her most recent role is in “Priscilla, Queen of the Desert”, currently running in Israel, but she has largely stayed away from releasing original music.

In 2021, Cohen briefly returned to the reality music spotlight by competing on The X Factor Israel, though she did not reach the final stages. Her new single marks a significant return to the music world, signaling that Cohen is ready to once again share her voice with audiences.
