An improvised explosive device (IED) was discovered on Monday attached to an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) jeep during a routine inspection at a garage in Ma’ale Adumim. The device, which authorities believe was planted during a recent military operation in Judea and Samaria, was safely dismantled without causing injuries.

According to police, the IED was remotely operated and had likely been attached to the vehicle by militants in recent days. Remarkably, the explosive did not detonate either during the jeep’s operational activity or while it was parked inside the garage.

Bomb disposal units from the Israel Police’s Judea and Samaria District were called to the scene and neutralized the device.

A military source confirmed the details: “A vehicle that had been involved in an operation in Tulkarem arrived at the Ma’ale Adumim garage several days later. During routine checks, an explosive device was found attached to it. The incident is under investigation.”

The discovery follows a series of recent security incidents in Judea and Samaria, including attacks targeting IDF vehicles near Tulkarem.
