Netanyahu Shines: “We Didn’t Return After 3,400 Years to Be Erased by Khamenei”
Prime Minister touts elimination of Iranian nuclear scientists and military leaders, saying Israel is "changing history" despite U.S. opposition. Nationwide rocket alerts activated across northern Israel amid new missile threats.

On Tuesday night, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed that the IDF struck Iran’s nuclear archive, a classified site housing sensitive materials related to Tehran’s nuclear ambitions. The operation, confirmed by the IDF Spokesperson, signals another dramatic escalation in Israel’s ongoing campaign against Iran.
“We are at a historic turning point,” Netanyahu declared in a nationally broadcast statement. “We are changing history.”
According to Netanyahu, Iran had recently intensified work on weaponization efforts, prompting his direct order to act decisively. “The Iranians began work on nuclear weaponization with great urgency,” he said. “I gave the instruction to thwart the Iranian nuclear program.”
Netanyahu emphasized the scale of the attack, noting that both senior military leadership and nuclear scientists were targeted and eliminated. “We dealt a crushing blow to their military leadership and, of course, to their nuclear scientists. We are also eliminating their successors.”
He further stated that the offensive was launched despite the objections of U.S. President Donald Trump, highlighting past instances of divergence. “We entered Rafah against his will. We eliminated [Hezbollah chief Hassan] Nasrallah against their advice. I knew it would collapse the axis,” Netanyahu said, referring to Iran’s regional alliance with Hamas and Hezbollah.
Slamming past diplomatic efforts, Netanyahu also blamed U.S. President Barack Obama for promoting the 2015 nuclear deal with Iran, which he called “a scandalous agreement that paved Iran’s path to both wealth and the bomb.”
“This is a global shift,” he concluded. “We are dismantling an empire of evil that threatens our existence, the entire Middle East, and large parts of the world. Victory is on the horizon and it will be absolute.”
During his remarks, Israel’s Home Front Command issued a red alert warning amid reports of incoming missile fire from Iran. Rocket sirens were expected to sound across northern and northeastern Israel, including Upper Galilee, the confrontation line, North and South Golan, Jezreel Valley, the Haifa Bay area, Wadi Ara, the Carmel region, and more.
Netanyahu also addressed President Trump’s response to the escalation, saying, “There is a very close relationship between me and President Trump. I leave it to him to decide what’s right for him.” He added that “Trump’s plan to evacuate Gaza remains fully in force.”
Netanyahu added:
"This is an existential issue. We didn’t make this incredible 3,400-year journey, almost 2,000 of which were to return to our land, so that an ayatollah, so that Khamenei, could wipe us out. Absolutely not.” |
“I take advantage of every opportunity, and when I saw potential, I told the negotiating team that I see a chance for a deal.”
“I am on a mission, and I’m grateful for the support of my family. By the way, my son Avner had no idea, he and his fiancée were completely surprised by this.”
“I see everyone rising to the moment ... I have been blessed with the heroism of our fighters, both in Gaza and in Iran, on the ground and in the air, and of the civilians in shelters and homes under rocket fire. Look at the tremendous strength we have here.”
“There is no substitute for victory. We will eliminate Hamas, free all the hostages, and destroy Iran’s nuclear and missile capabilities.”
“Hezbollah’s backbone is gone, the Sinwar brothers are no longer here, and you can see what's happening to the militias in Iraq.”
"Everything we do undermines Khamenei's rule."
“No one sees how fast empires fall: Look how quickly the Iranian axis has collapsed ... Their pilots are fleeing and running away ... We will do whatever it takes to eliminate the threat from the Iranian regime.”
“This is important for generations of Jews who suffered and prayed to reach this moment of a Jewish state, and it is important for the generations that will come after us [because] in every generation, they come to destroy us ... “The people will rise like lions, and our fighters say: "Keep going with all your strength, we want victory.”"
Addressing the Iranian people, he said, ""I speak to the Persian people who are being oppressed and crushed there; 80% of them oppose the regime ... [They] are a very talented nation with an ancient and magnificent culture, but they have fallen under crazy leadership with a deranged leader whose sole goal is to destroy us and others ... King Cyrus freed us Jews; maybe now we will free the Persians.”
The situation continues to unfold rapidly, as the conflict between Israel and Iran gets increasingly more explosive by the second.
