Once a quiet spiritual tradition, Selichot events have evolved into full-scale musical spectacles, now firmly embedded in Israel’s cultural calendar. Beyond their religious and cultural resonance, they showcase the country’s biggest artists, filling arenas and amphitheaters nationwide. Here are the highlights you won’t want to miss this season.

Jerusalem at Its Peak

The weeks leading up to Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur have become Jerusalem’s most vibrant season. Thousands flock to the Old City and the Western Wall for Selichot tours, soaking in the sacred atmosphere even before the High Holidays begin.

September 11–12 | Selichot Weekend – Dan Hotels, Jerusalem

The Dan Jerusalem and Dan Panorama hotels are offering a cultural-spiritual getaway this year: a special performance by Shuli Rand and Amir Benayoun, combined with guided Selichot tours through the Old City’s alleys, ending at the Western Wall. Guests also enjoy shuttle services between venues and hotels.

September 18 | Ishay Ribo – Pais Arena, Jerusalem

Ishay Ribo’s annual Selichot concert takes a new direction. Instead of multiple shows in Caesarea, he will headline one massive performance at Jerusalem’s Pais Arena. The evening will spotlight his landmark Elul album, alongside his biggest hits in fresh arrangements. As in previous years, surprise guest stars are expected.

September 21 | Piyyut & Rock – Caesarea Amphitheater

In one of the season’s most ambitious productions, cantor Lior Elmaliach fuses sacred piyyutim with Israeli rock. Sharing the stage: Amir Dadon, Micha Shitrit, Teapacks, Aviv Alush, and Eran Tzur. Expect mashups like Or Gadol with Ya Shama Evyonecha, or How Does It Feel with Ben Adam Ma Lecha Nirdam, all under the Caesarea night sky.

September 25 & 27 | David D’Or – Sultan’s Pool, Jerusalem

Global performer David D’Or returns to Jerusalem with two Selichot shows at Sultan’s Pool. He’ll be joined by Evyatar Banai, Shuli Rand, Amir Benayoun, and The Revivo Project. Together, they’ll bring Selichot prayers and soulful ballads to one of Jerusalem’s most iconic outdoor venues.

September 28 | Dudu Fisher – “Shaking the Heavens,” Yavne Amphitheater

Dudu Fisher closes the season with a symphonic Selichot concert, backed by 25 musicians from the Raanana Symphonette under conductor Moshe Danino. The setlist will span from classics like Adon Olam to Israeli favorites such as Ben Kodesh Lechol, Resisim, and Hallelujah, all in powerful new arrangements.

From Jerusalem’s ancient alleys to its modern arenas, Selichot 2025 offers Israelis a unique blend of spirituality and spectacle, proving once again that faith and music can move audiences together.
