Khamenei Slams 'Foolish' Enemies for Plotting Regime Change After 12-Day War
Khamenei Rejects US ‘Humiliating’ Demands, Slams Trump and Enemies’ Regime Change Plot

Iran’s Supreme Leader, Imam Ali Khamenei, unleashed a blistering attack on foreign adversaries, accusing them of “foolish thinking” in plotting to overthrow the Islamic Republic after an attack on Iran on June 23. In a statement shared on X, Khamenei revealed that on June 24, a group of American agents met in a European capital to discuss replacing the Islamic Republic, even appointing a “king” or “shah” to rule Iran.
“They were so confident that this attack would shake the foundation of the Islamic Republic, so sure it would turn the people against it,” Khamenei said, referencing reports allegedly aired on television recently. He accused the group, which included an Iranian collaborator, of believing the assault would fracture government-public ties to achieve their “malicious goals.” He sharply condemned the Iranian involved, stating, “Shame on him.”
Khamenei also rejected calls for negotiations with the United States, slamming them as a “retarded way of thinking” and denouncing the US’s “humiliating demand for obedience.” He took direct aim at President Donald Trump, declaring, “The Iranian people will stand firmly against him and those who put false hopes in him. Those who ask why we don’t negotiate directly with America are being shallow.”
Emphasizing Iran’s resilience, Khamenei stated, “The Iranian nation, by standing firm alongside the armed forces, the government, and the system, dealt a strong blow to all of them.” His remarks underscore Iran’s defiance amid escalating tensions, framing national unity as a powerful rebuke to foreign schemes. Details of the alleged attack and plotters remain unconfirmed, but Khamenei’s statements signal an unwavering rejection of external pressures.
