The IDF said that it concluded an investigation today (Tuesday) into the failure of the air defense system to stop a Houthi ballistic missile from striking the Yafo area last week.

According to the inquiry, conducted by Rear Command and the Air Force, the missile warning was activated "for reasons that cannot be detailed" and that needed adjustments have been made.

The IDF also said that it would now be expanding the missile warning deeper into the country for fear of interceptor shrapnel or fragments falling from the sky and injuring civilians.

The statement ended by saying that the IDF defensive system is not foolproof, and that citizens must heed the life-saving orders of Rear Command.
