Israel Must Strike Qatar Again
After a failed strike in Qatar, Israel faces pressure, threats, and the challenge of proving its independence on the world stage.

The failed strike in Qatar succeeded, in several dimensions, in showing the world that Israel will attack anywhere that plans are being made to destroy it. And yet, as noted, the objectives were not achieved. The Hamas leadership came out alive.
Qatar’s response was to summon Arab leaders to an emergency summit, where statements were made against Israel, along with a declaration that Israel would be punished.
This statement amounts to a threat.
Now, precisely in light of these threats, the time has come for Israel to strike again.
The only problem, the Washington does not want that.
At the same time, the Trump administration must recognize that Israel must be capable of taking care of its regional interests in a froceful way, since without that, it cannot safeguard American interests. Therefore, Israel must try to locate these individuals and eliminate them, perhaps not by air, but certainly tactically on the ground in Qatar.
By doing so, it would accomplish several things:
This would calm Egyptian and Turkish rhetoric and, of course, establish Israel’s credibility as an actor whose strategic decisions are self-dictated on a regional scale.
