Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met today (Thursday) in Doha, Qatar's capital, with Mossad Chief Dedi Barnea who is staying in the country. This is according to a report on the Saudi channel Al-Hadath. The report claims that the two also discussed the situation in the Druze Mountain in southern Syria.

It should be noted that Fidan was indeed in Doha today and met with the Emir of Qatar, but the report about the meeting with the Mossad chief has no confirmation from any other source. Turkey has been trying for some time to take part in mediation efforts with Hamas regarding Gaza.

Earlier, the Saudi channel "Al Arabiya" reported that the mediators offered Israel a temporary humanitarian ceasefire for 48 hours and Israel rejected it and expressed its reservations.

However, sources indicated that pressure continues from the mediators on Israel to agree to a humanitarian ceasefire. They also noted that Palestinian factions met in Cairo, including Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, to advance the negotiations.

Meanwhile, Mossad Chief David Barnea held a meeting in Doha with Qatar's Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, to discuss the possibility of renewing indirect negotiations between Hamas and Israel regarding the release of hostages in Gaza.

Several Israeli sources revealed that Barnea asked the Qatari side to inform Hamas that "conquering Gaza" is not just a threat, but a serious decision. The sources also noted that the Mossad chief confirmed that Israel will not accept any more partial deals and will stick to the full release of all hostages.
