The United States is considering offensive strikes against Houthi forces, after its defensive measures intercepting drones and missiles have failed to restore security in the Red Sea, leading most ships to circumvent the African continent instead, according to a report by Bloomberg.

Nevertheless, the alliance is divided. While UK Defense Secretary Grant Shapps warned Houthis to "watch this space," implying strikes are coming, many other members of the coalition are wary of going beyond the defensive, including many officials in the UK.
